Nos confrères des sites Bestofmicro et ThinkComputers ont publiés des tests sur le PC portable Lenovo ThinkPad R61. Celui-ci est équipé d’un processeur Intel Core 2 Duo T7300 cadencé à 2 GHz, il embarque également un disque dur de 120 Go. Il possède 1 Go de mémoire vive. Son écran fait 14.1 pouces. Le Lenovo ThinkPad R61 pèse environ 2,4 kg. Il tourne sous l’OS (Système d’exploitation) Windows Vista. Sa partie graphique est gérée par un chipset intégré Intel GMA X3100. Notre confrère Bestofmicro rappel d’ailleurs que ce PC portable est surtout destiné au petites entreprises et a un usages bureautique. Il est vendu pour environ 1 200 €. « De l’extérieur, les PC portables Lenovo se suivent… et se ressemblent. Ce n’est qu’en se penchant sur les caractéristiques de la bête que l’on se rend compte des différentes évolutions. C’est le cas par exemple de la série R, qui voit son ThinkPad R61 passer sous Santa Rosa, la dernière plateforme d’Intel. Positionné par son constructeur dans une catégorie de portable à usage essentiellement bureautique, quel confort apporte-t-il en utilisation quotidienne ? »

« Earlier in the year Lenovo announced a few new models to their ThinkPad line, the R61 was one of them. R-Series ThinkPad’s were considered more of a value notebook than anything. People who could not afford the pricey T-Series ThinkPad’s would get an R-Series instead. The new R61 features a 14.1-inch widescreen display, Core 2 Duo processor, wireless antenna built into the lid, and a thinner and lighter design weighting in at just 5.5lbs. Let’s see if the R61 can breathe new life into the R-Series. The R61 comes in the plain ThinkPad box. The only thing really identifying it as a ThinkPad is the logo at the top of the box. Opening up the box we can see that everything inside is nicely protected. All of our accessories are in 1 box and the laptop itself is covered in plastic and protected by Styrofoam. »
