« ASRock is ready for a new series of board using Intel P965 chipset meeting Quad Core demands. ASRock 4Core 1333-ViiV packs with eSATAII, 6-SATA ports, Firewire, CrossFire & ViiV ready, Raid 0, 1, 10 & 5, and bundled with DeskExpress Card. We feature this review with a mainstream CPU, the Intel E4400 CPU plus more. Let’s find out what kind of performance this entry level combination of board & CPU can deliver.
ASRock continues to launch new boards to meet the success of Intel C2D series processors. The refinement of Intel 945 chipset met its last challenge; with Quad Core introduction and price dropped recently. It is inevitable to introduce Quad Core ready board other than the sole work horse VIA chipset. With the 965 chipset maturing over the year, it is the logical selection for ASRock to put this into the 4Core 1333-ViiV.
To differential ASRock 4Core-1333ViiV from the crowded market, ASRock packs this board with Firewire, eSATA, 6-SATA port, Gigabit LAN and Crossfire ready. Intel ViiV has not found a permanent home as much as Intel has expected for Desktop market; MCE (Media Center Edition). We shall see if ASRock could resurrect this from consumers »
